Hi everybody. Sorry I did not respond I have been out of town. The brush I was talking about is the Clarisonic MD Brush. By it self, I don't think it is THAT much better than careful washing. BUT, what I have been having my patients do, is to remove their make up, and then while in the shower (the brush is totally sealed and water proof) apply washes with the desired active ingredients. The results have been remarkably good! I believe the high speed of the bristles (nearly ultrasonic speed) is somehow increasing the penetration of the actives. If anybody is interested, I will be glad to post a link that will give the exact protocol I have been having my patients using.
The retail price on the brush might be a little high, but the company had a pretty impressive sales pitch. Bascially, if I sell the brush to any of my patients, and the patients don't like it, they have 60 days to return it...to the company for a refund! My patients buy them so fast I can't keep them in stock. I was very skeptical, but I tried it myself, and then I bought the brushes for my staff. The patients started making comments about what my staff and I are doing to our own skin...and the only difference from what we normally do is the brush. If anybody needs help finding a way to try the brush for 60 days, send me an email at info@epilution.com. |
