Hi everyone,
Hope someone can help me. My partner has been using a radox branded shower gel, he started to get a rash on his leg and we have found out it is due to the Sodium Laureth Sulfate found in most shower gels.
Does anyone know of any body washes that don't contain this ingredient?
I do know that Liz Earle's body wash does, but its very expensive so hoping to find something else.
I would appreciate any comments.
Thanks

"Johnson's Soothing Naturals Hair and Body Wash" doesn't have SLS. It's a very good formulation and I would start with that.
"Johnson's Baby Baby Shampoo, Original" and "Johnson's Baby Baby Shampoo, Natural Lavender" have Sodium Trideceph Sulphate. I use the Lavender version for hair and body and never had problems with it.
"Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash, Fragrance Free" has Sodium Trideceph Sulphate also. I think Aveeno and Johnson is the same company.
Johnson products are dirt cheap. Make sure you read the labels cause some of them (even the baby versions) DO contain SLS. |

I don't know of any body washes, but I know there are some soaps out there that are free of SLS. They have some at Trader Joe's. It's interesting that Kevin Trudeau, in his book "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About" speaks out against SLS and he says "everyone" should avoid it and use soaps that are SLS-free. He also claims that everyone should install water filters in their showers since chlorine is harmful to the skin and the body once it penetrates the skin. And never swim in chlorinated pools if you care about the health of your skin or your body. A new report made public found that people who "drink" chlorinated water have a 35% greater risk of bladder cancer and people who who "swim" in chlorinated water have a 57% greater risk of bladder cancer. So I guess everyone should just swim in the ocean, and try to avoid the sharks and the riptides. |

Sodium laureth sulfate and sodium lauryl sulfate are bad! Yeah, they are the most common ingredients in today's shampoos and body washes besides water. But I got this really cool shampoo from a health store that does not contain either of them! It works way better than any other shampoo I have ever tried in my life! I know they make soaps without those ingredints too! Just go to an all natural store...you'll find plenty! |
