I'm wondering if Isolagen is the best new filler we ever had cause they just finished phase III in the States but they are in UK since a while? |

While I don't think there is one best filler for everyone, isolagen technology makes a good sense: it uses your own cells (no allergic reactions) and, if cells "take", the results are potentially highly durable. However, isolagen is quite expensive (considerably more than other fillers), and the long-term studes to confirm its "theoretical" high durability are lacking. |

Isolagen UK went into liquidation in November 2006.
There has been a lot of bad press about the procedure and results have been very inconsistent. Most cosmetic surgeons I've spoken to in London say that the failure rate is due to incorrect application of the injections by poorly trained practitioners.
Due to the many reported failures and the relatively high cost of the treatment, Isolagen UK decided to fold for financial reasons and are now concentrating on getting through phase III trials in the US. |
