Dr T,
Would it make sense to try to mix tocotrienol with a base cream to create a potent topical antioxidant? If so, would it be best to use the gamma and delta tocotrienols (Twinlabs makes a tocotrienol gel cap that has 47 mg of gamma tocotrienol and 1 or 2 mg of delta tocotrienol called Maxirice Tocotrienol)? Assuming you think the above is a good idea, would it also be ok to add any other antioxidants to the same base cream with the tocotrienols?
Thanks for your time!
Mike

Yes, it does make sense to use a mix of tocopherols and tocotrienols instead of regular vitamin E. Such a mix is discussed my DIY skin care infopack.

GNC has a good Vitamin E supplement called "Isomer E". It contains all 8 eight components of the Vitamin E complex (all 4 tocopherols and all 4 tocotrienols). And it's not too expensive either.

Anybody know how much Gamma and Delta Tocotrienol is in each capsule of Isomer E?

I have emailed GNC, asking for a specific breakdown of the tocopherol and tocotrienol content of their E products.

Their reply:

First a cut and page of their web page content, followed by

"Percentage of Total-Tocopherols is proprietary information"

No reply regarding the tocotrienol content.

Looks like the product mentioned by Dr. T, is the only one listing all data: evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=5173
