dressing pads for keloids?

i have two very small keloids on my chest area. the derm said she would help me do an injection if i wanted to, but it would hurt very much. i researched on the net, and they sell dressing pads for people with keloids. but since the pads seem so large, and what i have is really small, maybe that's why the derm didn't recommend them to me. would it be ok if i cut the pads? any other affordable suggestions for helping small keloids?
