tretinoin on scars??

I've had some surgery done, and where the stitches were I have some indentations in my skin, and well as scar marks. I have used vitamin E, and it's not very effective. I was wondering whether using tretinoin cream (0.025%) would help with scars since it helps to produce collagen? I'm also using tretinoin cream on my stetch marks around my hips since I heard it helps too. Any help???

As far as I know tretinoin is not very effective for scars.
