Hi. I am so happy I found this site. Thank you for all the fantastic information!

I used to wash my face with a hot cloth only (never was a soap user for my face). I would steam it with the hot cloth and rub.

I then found this site and I do less to my face skin. Now I just splash with luke warm on my face... no more rubbing.

My face now feels more moist in areas. but my nose now seems to accumulate dirt in the pores (blackheads I think they are called).

I also have some red veins in the corners of my nostrils, where it meets the cheek bone. (I've have that a while though).

My question - how much damage would I be doing if I went back to steaming/rubbing my nose with the hot cloth? I want to clean out my pores of that buildup... but not sure if there is better advice?

Also, is there anything I can do about the red veins?

Thanks :)

Distinct red veins can be traced and destroyed by KTP laser.

I'm not sure rubbing would be enough to dislodge black heads.

Why don't you use exfoliating face wash on your nose area?
