aspirin is acetyl salycilic acid, a chemical relative of common beta-hydroxy acid, salycilic acid. I don't think the benefits are much greater than from BHA or AHA, but some people benefit from hydroxy acids and similarly some people may benefit from aspirin masks. However, DIY-ing aspirin mask can be irritating to skin if done improperly. |

I have asked before on other forums but never really got a good answer to the question: why not just use a salicylic acid soap instead of making an aspirin mask.
I would think the salycilic acid soap is a lot easier to use and it won't cause that sneezing problem that the powdered aspirin can when it gets in your nose. |
