Most people know about it, but does it related to our skin? I can't get rid of the habit of drinking water before sleep, and feeling very dry every morning. Is this my illusion?

It is related to skin in that edema stretches the skin, and can lead to skin sag over time.

People are different, depends on one's kidney function and other factors. Besides, drinking a little water even right before bed usually doesn't cause puffiness in the morning. However, drinking a lot of fluids right before bedtime, especially combined with high sodium meal can cause puffiness in the morning.
