Can massage be of any use for scars or stretch marks?

I've read some about "scar massage", but I'm not sure if there is really any benefit.

Can massage break down a scar or stretch mark?

Not that I know of. Stretch mark, arguably, may be wrosened by massage as it pulls the skin.
