Aveeno has quite a few different moisturizers. Are all of them good, or is one better than the others? Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizing Lotion has several reviews at SmartSkinCare.com, but what about Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion, or Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil?
Thanks for any info! |

Just for moisturizing, Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is best. |

Can the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion be used as a base for making DIY products? Specifically, can any of the vitmain C forms be dissolved in this product?
Thanks!

I dunno if it is me or the soap..(most likely me getting older or sun)
but seems since I switched and using Aveeno soap with Oatmeal , I have had a few spider veins show up..Could this soap be abrasive? |

What are ingredients in aveeno soap? Oatmeal can't cause spider veins but perhaps (althou unlikely) other ingredients are irritating and contribute a bit... |

i think that the aveeno daily moisturizing lotion shouldn't be used for the face since it contains petrolatum. Doesn't that block pores like vaseline?
I have also noticed that aveeno has come up with some moisturizers just for the face, but they all lack colloidal oatmeal in their ingredient lists...only the body lotions contain colloidal oatmeal..what a shame... |

Well I tried it and it worked just great ...However it didn't really wash off to a smooth surface on my skin. I like the product but it needs a smoother finish. It did leave my skin soft so.... |

I read on one site that petrolatum is one of the 3 worst ingredients you can put on your skin, due to the fact that it does clog pores, in that doctor's opinion. I don't know if that's true. I've been using Aveeno Daily Moistuizing Lotion for a DIY formula, and it's been ok to apply at night before bed. But I find it too thick and heavy to use on my skin during the day, since my skin is oily. And if it does clog pores, I can do without it. I plan on switching to sea buckthorn oil to use as a base instead. |
