|
|
Hi - am new to this forum but has anyone found any LED
red/infrared light units that can be purchased for home use
to get rid of wrinkles and anti-aging?? Have read about the
home use ultrasounds units but was wondering abut the new
LED home use units. If anyone has found a home unit that
worked, please give the name of the unit and e-mail address
where this can be purchased -Thx so much! |

Anodyne therapy, a form of near infra-red LED therapy, seems to show some promise for peripheral neuropathy. Perhaps the same devices could be used for skin rejuvenation (assuming near infra-red LED have any effect on skin aging). I presume there exist home versions of such units. |

I bought mine thru ebay. This is a different seller, but the same machine:

Note that I do not know this seller and do not vouch for him/her. The link above is only for reference as to machine 'type'.
just go to search and type in 'photo rejuvenation', you will find a number of options. I think I paid about $70 for mine on a bid.
As to results: I tested on one hand/arm. After 13 treatments of 8 minutes each, noticable reduction of sun spots.
Pore size; no appreciable results, got better results with Retin A.
Small veins on cheek: slightly diminished only.
Fine lines/wrinkles: No appreciable results with short term testing
End analysis: The photo eye covers a very small area. You must constantly move it or hold on one spot then move to another. The machine will stay on only 8 min at a time then has to be reset.
Very time consuming especially if you wanted to cover entire face.
It did work very well on my sun spots on my hand. |

To close a spider vein, you generally need light intense enough (on the right frequency) to selectively heat a blood vessel to the degree sufficient to make it collapse. This device seems far too weak for that. The seller's claim that it "Eliminates dilated or broken capillaries" seems improbable.
Still, if you think you saw a reduction in spider veins, keep treating it and let us know if you see further improvement.

What I am calling spider vein, has never been offically diagnoised by a dermatologist. It is what I would 'think' is a spider vein. It is very thin, and close to the surface, it covers a realatively small area and branchs out like the roots of a tree. In fact, there may be another term that applies to this particular configuration.
So........... |
