I just order a TCA peel because I think my skin doesn't agree w/ the lactic acid, my pores become even larger. Will this be more effective in reducing pore size and smoothing skin? I'm using copper peptide, too. Is it true that TCA peel burns/hurt a lot?

Do you intend to DIY it? Doing TCA peel on your own is a bad idea unless your are an expert. TCA is a harsh chemical, much harsher than AHA, mistakes can be very damaging to your skin.

Yes, I do! But if you suggest that I shld. not do it, I better not do it anymore, since you're the expert. But is there a better way how to achieve good peeling result? I don't like the lactic acid because it makes my pores even larger and I don't get a tightening of the skin. Can you advise me more on this please?

TCA is a typical agent of choice for medium depth peels. Some superficial peels may be ok for DIY (although at higher strengths even AHA and BHA have some risks). But if you need a medium or deep peel, it should be done by a professional because incorrect application may do more harm than good. I can't suggest any alternative that will provide the same depth of peeling because any such alternative will have similar risks. I've seen that some companies have started selling DIY kits for TCA peels over the internet. Perhaps with good instructions and training materials, it may be possible to teach people to properly DIY this peel, but at this point, this is not something I can recommend.
