Did you get your treatment? If so, how was it?
I've been reading up and was surprised at how many people stated that the procedure was extremely painful and not worth the high price. |

Patient selection is critical. Not everybody is a good candidate for Thermage. There is a site call realself.com which has a place for patients to vote on if they felt a procedure was "worth it" or "not worth it". Thermage ranks dead last at 36%. The procedure is expensive, and you won't know is you got any result for about 3-6 months. I would keep shopping if I were you. Check a procedure called Fractional Deep IR which may be a better choice. |

Hi. We can unfortunately confirm that Thermage is not useful for everybody. For young people and people over 50 (as we) the risk is higher to have no result or to be damaged. Detailed informations are to find under > medicalspamd. A good overlook - Themage included - > skinandaging. Realself shows interesting reports but they cannot live from reporting victims. This means that only the FDA publishs CLEAR reports. They have all informations from reporting patients behind and about the consultated doctors. Only about 10% of the negative cases - generally - will be reported.
So we researched how we can stop our quick aging processes after Thermage (end of 2006 in Germany) and I tried to publish the negative answer to realself - after 2 days I missed this (!). Thermage is not completely sure in the faces. Test are still necessary. Patient who got to much rf are not able to stop this. This you can find reported to the FDA in 2004. So if this happens you`ll not loose only the important fatlayer under the skin. You feels sick and you looks sick and old. This procedure needs about 24 months. And than I can pay a lot for good work of a pc. So be very careful. |

Better try ReFirme instead of thermage. It doesn't have cases reporting fat destruction and the financial risk is lower than thermage since refirme requires 5 times that cost about $200-300 each for below the chin only. After the first Refirme treatment you will know if it works for you or not.
Thermage is very intensive compared to Refirme and you have to spring a couple of thousands $$ at once without knowing if there is going to be result. The latest protocols of Thermage finally got the picture that they have to do it at lower settings, several times instead of one time at dangerously high settings for the fat. |

The basis behind Thermage is the different conductivity from fat and tissue. So fat "should not be damaged". Fact is that this does not always function. Then its like a crash and an aging process for the body not only for the skin. Because conductivity is imporptant I asked about protection of dental work. I got no answer from a Doctor but from a patient. She was protected. We not. So I thanked her in realself - and even this was deleted! Very strangely...
Sure that they deleted the again desígnated consequences after misusing at an other place too. |
