I have been using matrixyl solution from www.thepersonalformulator.com. I am 31 yo male with moderate crows feet around my eyes.

I started in the middle of November 2004 - so I have been experimenting with it for about 3 months.

The concentration of the active ingredient in my formulations is 5ppm (the glycerin solution I buy from the formulator website is 100 ppm supposedly) and I apply it in the morning and in the evening before bed.

The first two months I was trying different bases like aloe vera gel; hydroethylcellulose + water gel; nivea oil control lotion. I was also adding silicone oils (dimethicone or cyclomethicone) at level of ~ 2% for matiffying effect since I have a combination skin. All these formulations turned out too shiny for my skin and pretty often I got small red bumps - I guess that is caused by the high concentration of glycerin in the commercial matrixyl solution.

Finally, during the last month I started adding only water to the commercial glycerin matrixyl solution and using a spray to apply it evenly over my skin. That seems to have made it more tolerable to my skin - not so many bumps as with the other bases - and it feels pretty fresh.

So far I haven't noticed any reduction of my crow's feet.
I noticed 3 posts on this website about the Isomers matrixyl formulation. Two claim excellent results but frankly speaking sound too good to be true - they claim noticeable results in 2-3 weeks. The 3rd one said there wasn't any effect after 6 months of application.

Does anyone has any idea if matrixyl can be combined with denaturated ethyl alcohol?

Ethyl alcohol will not destroy matixyl molecule, which is a small peptide, but it may dry and irritate your skin.
