Hello Everyone

I've only recently been aware that I should be using different types of products to care for my skin..........my question is what is the difference between lotion and cream? Also, on some skin care products I see at the store, the directions say apply to hands and body.......can you also use these lotions for your face? Ahh I'm so confused so please help, thanks.

There is no absolute dividing line between a cream and a lotions, but lotions tend to be thinner, i.e. lotion can be a liquid that you can pour. Creams are usually thick enough so you can't pour it.

Thanks but can you please answer the other questions? Can I use lotions/creams on my face when it says you can apply to arms and body or should I get a lotion/cream that is specifically for the face?

Yes you can use body lotions (but not all) on face but you have to try it experimentally. If your face likes it that will save you bucks cause frequently the body creams/lotions have exactly the same ingredients like the face ones. It's a marketing trick of the cosmetics companies, they realize they can't sell you an ounce of body cream for $30 cause you will use it up in a week and that makes the price per month unacceptable.

Thanks for your help....yeah that's why I was confused......I have this lotion for the body and I used it on my face not knowing that my face is not part of my body and it worked very well.........I just wasn't sure if I was damaging my skin or anything like that by using a product like this on my face............it gets kinda confusing sometimes
