I have dark circles under my eyes. I have tried various under eye creams, drank water, cucumbers all sorts and they still remain there :( Nobody else in my family suffers from this and it is only me - then i could say it is hereditary but nobody I know in my family suffers from the same.
What laser treatments are available for this in the UK preferably and what type of cost am I looking at?? :?
I will try and see if I can get a picture up of the dark circles. It is noticeable a whole lot more as the remainder of my skin is much lighter.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice offered.

I have heard that DianaYvonnes DHX works well.I am sure some one else will have advice also. Do you have allergies ? I have dark circles also, but they are most visible when my allergies are bothering me. Also,I have read on the forums PSF has a nice phyto ? eye serum.
I really wish I could tell you exactly what would be perfect for you.I'm sure if you keep at it.You will find the right fix.
Take care |

Thanks for the info.
Skin Care Addict - No I dont have any allergies that I am aware of. My circles seem to go darker when I havent had much sleep - but I am guessing that is normal. I know that these circles are not there from lack of sleep as I get alot of sleep, drink plenty of water etc and it is not hereditary. So im confused :-s the doctor wasnt much help he just said it will reduce in time when I was younger - instead they went darker. Another doctor just said that the melanin was darker under my eye area that is why i have dark circles once again that was unhelpful This is why I was considering some form of surgery. :(
Blue Eyes - Thanks I have read this thread.
I am currently using Hylexin - I fell for the hype but its only been a few days so i cant comment.
Has anyone use the eyerix cream from Pharmaclinix - does this work??
Thanks |

As you read in the Hylexin thread... It's doubtfull it will work for you, unless you have the condition that's covered by the active ingredient in Hylexin.
But, let us know if we were right. :)

Hi,
I have very dark circles. Part of my problem is sun damage. I use a hydroquinone 4% to help keep the darkness from sun damage away. A second poblem I have is that have little blood vessels that make it dark also. This is a difficult problem to treat.

having dark circles is due to lack of sleep, staring at the computer or tv constantly can cause u that because of the heat. Not drinking enough water can also cause dark circles. i have tried a cream that really helped me. i have very clear skin and no more dark circles. To know more about the product u can msg me . take care |

Take a look at this link...
http://allergies.about.com/od/darkcircles/a/aa071304.htm
None of the reasons mentioned are related to the accumulation of hemosiderin due leaking capillaries, although that should added on as one of the causes. If you can find a product that will stimulate collagen in the very thin skin under the eyes, then you may be able to solve your problem. There is a device called a 1540 Fractional Resurfacing laser that will work, but the treatments are pretty expensive. The skin is very thin under the eyes, so head Dr. T's advice...do no harm! Go easy with whatever you try!! |
