Hi -
If you have oily skin already - there is no rule that says you need moistruizer at all.
I always tout "Cleane, tone, moisturize, protect" as the basis for daily skincare. But if you already have enough moisture and hydration in your skin, you may not need an extra moisturizer.
Instead of a cream moisturizer, try just cleansing and using a good toner that does not contain alcohol and has a good water binding agent. This may be all the "moistruizer" you need.
Always wear sunscreen - you may be able to find a lightweight sunscreen that will also provide a little moisture, without over doing it.
Lastly, if you're breaking out - it may not be because of moisturizer by itself - it may be because of the wrong moisturizer.
Lastly (I mean it this time) - look at your skincare regimen as a whole system - are you doing anything that could be causing over-production of oil? Like stripping or using a harsh soap (see string in anti-aging forum)? Gentle products, chosen wisely and used consistently over time will help balance the skin. Of course, you may just have oily skin, in which case, see above. I can't escape my cul-de-sac. :) |
