|

I notice that sometimes my face will get a bit red. I see other people with it and wonder how to get rid of it.
If you know how to please tell me. If there are any natural ways of fixing the problem like through nutrition or whatever.
I would be very grateful for any information.
Thankyou. [/list] |

You need to determine whether it is due to chronic skin irritation or simply mildly dilated capillaries. |

Hi,
I noticed that you said "Sometimes my face gets red..." That to me says that sometimes you are doing something to cause irritation. This is very easy to do...the vast majority of facial skincare products contain some sensitizing agent(s). Fragrance, abrasives, harsh detergents, alcohol, peppermint, eucalyptus are just a few common things that can really irritate your skin and result in redness.
Of course, if you have this problem regularly, you may have rosacea or another issue as the Dr mentioned.
Start simple - look for the simplest solution first. Note what you put on your skin when you get the redness. You may be able to systematically identify the culprit...

Its not irritation. I should of said the skin looks flushed. When people get angry and there face goes red or you hold your breath and your face goes red. Some people's faces and bodies go red like this for whatever reason, either they be hot or whatever.
What I want to know is how to get rid of it. Is it just because your body temperature is higher than usual or because you have a problem. |

Well, if it is periodic flushing it could be a few things...
Rosacea is often described as looking like flushing, but it tends to be visible all the time - not just occasionally, so I don't think that's it.
There are a couple of things that could cause this that are physiological in nature... blood pressure changes, stress, alcohol (the drink, not the skincare product), body temp, hydration, hormone levels, and the list goes on and on.
If it were me, I might be inclined to have a discussion about this with a doctor - to me it does not seem to be skin care related...
