I would like to add sunscreen to my DIY cream rather than having to add it after as a separate step. Could you please tell me which one would be a good one to use or will it prevent the other ingredients from being absorbed properly?

I suggest not mixing sunscreens with DIY due to possible cross reactions and/or penetration problems. You can apply a sunscreen on top of other skin treatments, preferably after waiting a bit for the treatment to absorb. Besides, it is best to apply sunscreen in the morning, and many skin treatmetns are best applied at night.
