Good base cream list

Hello! This is the best site by far for skin care formulations and ingredient information! I've been reading everything nonstop. I manage content for a website boomerful.com and readers have a lot of questions about skin care stuff so I'm happy that I have a place to send them to.

Is there a quick list of good OTC base creams to use? I've been reading about emu oil and shea butter formulations, and eucerin... but if someone off the top of their head has a list of 5 good ones that would be great to know.

ALSO, since I'm thinking about toners, one thing I like to do is put my toner in a spray bottle and spray it on my face as opposed to wiping on with cotton ball. It makes sense to me, but is there a benefit to leaving it on like that or wiping it on?
