was reading about vitamin C cream & I would love to be able to use it but I have very sensitive dry skin. would applying a moisturizer after applying the C serum would stop the irritation ? |

Considering your skin sensitivity, one possible alternative is to use non-acidic vitamin C derivatives, not pure C. See my article http://www.smartskincare.com/treatments/vitcderiv.html

Jane,
I had the same problem. So what I did was start with a very low percentage, less than 5% and very slowly work my way up. Now I'm at a 12% serum without any irritation at all. I think those of us who have very sensitive skin have to start out at a low %, apply every other day, and work our way up gradually. Maybe this would work for you as well. |

Dee ,
I read about starting with low % but I am concern to end up with irritation & dermatitis ! I also apply a moiturizing SPF 15 sunscreen in the morning . some sunscreen are irritating also ! |
