Hi,

My name is Carolina and I'm 33 years old and I have notice that the last 6 months my skin under the eye has become very dry... I do not smoke, and I drink enough water during the day and I have always put some eye cream on and nothing has any effect... the area around the eye still dry, even whe I put sun screen on it become even more evident becuse it is dry it become shiny and scaly like...
What else can I do?? what is the best eye cream to combat under eye dryness on the market?? Have you heard about eyevive?? is it any good?

Thanks a lot!

Carolina :)

For example, you could try something with colloidal oatmeal, which is usually longer-lasting.

Thanks Dr Todorov!

I could not find many products containing colloidal oatmel, so I bought two, one is Dermaven ( 2% colloidal oatmel, Sodium PCA) it says use in any area of the body that suffers from dryness, and the other one is aveeno(daily mosturising lotion). I have been using it for 4 days and I think my eyes are a bit puffy so it could be due the water retention mosturising effect of the mosturizer or alergy?? is it possible that Dermaveen may have reached the dermis and caused the puffiness??

the other igredients of Dermaveen are:

light liquid paraffin
isopropril palmitate
stearyl alcohol
ceteareth
cetyl alcohol
glyceril stearate
Peg-100
myristyl lactate
carboner,
triethanolamine
benzaldehyde

So is it safe to use around the eye area??

Thanks Dr. Todorov,

Eye area is sensitive and there is great individual variation to what specific ingredients it may be sensitive. It is up to you to determine whether you are having a reaction to any of these creams.

You can also try something very simple, like emu oil or even olive oil - just don't use too much.
