Hello
I know that you suggest a soap-free and alcohol-free moisturizing cleanser for sensitive skin types like me. Well, I can't seem to find one that describes itself as that. Does anyone including the doctor have any recommendations?
I use Cetaphil now, but it states it has cetyl alcohol in it. |

Cetyl alcohol is basically wax. It's not irritant and has nothing to do with the rubbing alcohol (ethyl alcohol).
The best cleanser I've tried is the M.A.C. cleansing oil. It is very non irritable and only a little drying. The second best is Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Cleanser. It's a little more drying.
If you do not use waterproof cosmetics or sunscreen, the only cleanser I would recommend is tepid water. Facial creams contain enough emulsifiers so they can be removed just by water. |
