|
|
Hi Guys,
Read your PDF and made the Anti-Aging protection cream you recommended.
I orderd my stuff from skinactives including there base cream.
I think this stuff is doing good HOWEVER I get a lots of little pimples when I wake up the next day.
Before bed I quickly wash my face with Cetaphil gentle cleanser.
Then I apply a light application of the DIY Cream.
Next morning I wake up with a couple of little pimples. Not always but sometimes. I never use to get pimples before this.
What do i do know. I am wondering if its the Vitamin E and if I should take that out? Or is it the base cream. Should I try another basE?
Regards

Individual sensitivities vary a lot, so it could be any of the above. Try just using the base cream w/o any actives for, say, a week, and see if you have any reactions. If you do get reaction, try another base. If you don't, try adding actives, one-by-one, to make sure you know which one is causing the problem. |

Hi mate,
It seems to be the Vitamin E
I made a Base Mix with Grape / Green tea and been using that with no worries.
Can I add lipoic Acid or does that need the Vit E to work?
Also Will this mix with 10% Vit C also in the mix? |

You can add lipoic acid w/o E. But keep in mind that some people can get irritation from it too. Ascorbic acid won't fit with this formula. |

Why doesn't ascorbic acid work with this formula, is it the oxidizing affect of water in the base cream? |

It's not just that, it is also the low pH that it creates. |
