|
|
Hello.
I am 46 years old and am trying to diminish/reduce the wrinkles around my eyes (under the eyes & the crowsfeet). I have been using Tretinoin .1% cream with little irritation. I believe there is low irritation because I apply emu oil afterwards (about 20 minutes after applying the tretinoin cream).
My questions: 1) Is Tretinoin .1% cream safe for the eye area?
2) Will the Emu Oil have any affect on the benefits of the
Tretinoin?
3) Does Emu oil help diminsh/reduce wrinkles or is it
just benefical for moisturizing the skin?
Thanks for your help. |

For many people that would be too strong for the eye area. At least initially, a much lower strength should be used. |

I have been considering using tretinoin for under eye bags too, but am worried about the thinning of the dermis. As the dermis is so thin under the eye to start with, would tretinoin be like the last thing to put there? Would that not in fact make the skin weaker and the bags more pronounced, or does the new skin layer have more elasticity and more hold?
Thanks
Oh, and could I dilute the tretinoin down with regular moisturizer? |

It would be prudent to be more careful in the eye area. See smartskincare.com/skincarebasics/eyeskincare_using_products.html |
