Hi there,

I mentioned in the Anti Aging forum I have just completed 6 x weekly sessions of Laser Genesis.

However I can not see any significant improvement in the condition I am trying to improve which is furrowed/wrinkled open pores all over my face but most noticeable on my cheek area mainly :( . My face looks like its full of fine lines but on closer inspection the open pores have actually appear to have stretched into small lines **SIGH**

The dermatologist who performed the laser sessions was confident that I would see a big improvments with the fine lines and wrinkled pores filling out and plumping but so far nothing really has improved. I dont know whether I need to give it some more time for the stimulated collagen to reproduce? I have read some in some cases it takes 10 -12 weeks for collagen reproduction to peak after such procedures. I dont know whether to have another 6 sessions in the hope the improvements will happen.

I am so very depressed as I am only 32 years old yet my skin looks alot older. The derm mentioned maybe doing Titan laser but I think this is more for sagging skin which I dont have. But maybe it will help, its all such a minefield I dont know what really is best for my condition. Everyone is telling me that their laser is best. I just want an unbiased and honest opinion.

Can anyone give me some advice before I decided to spend another several hundred pounds of my hard earned money on more Laser Genesis treatments or even the Titan.

Is there any other laser treatment that would be more suitable for plumping of large open pores and fine lines and wrinkles?

I am in the UK BTW.

Many thanks for any help or advice

Nothing works consistently on pores.

For fine lines, fractional CO2 laster would probably be the best but I have no personal experience with it.

You could wait a month or two to see results from Genesis, if any. During that time you could try topical retinoids. It woul be much less expensive than playing the lottery with the lasers - most practitioners have no idea how to get consistent results from their lasers and just feed the clients with advertisements from the brochures.

Thank you for your reply.

As I mentioned I will look into Renovol cream.
