Judy,

A number of people have posted reviews of Thermage on this site.
Go to http://www.smartskincare.com/reviews/product/brandidx/thermage/

Results seem to be mixed, at best.

Mixed results at best, and not as helpful as they wish it was!

Do not do it! Thermage will cause fat loss in your face that will make you look older. Worse thing is no one even knows when the fat loss will stop. I had it done and it hollowed out one of my cheeks. I look worse now than I did before. If you want a face lift...I would get a face lift. At least those have been around for years and you know what you will be getting. With Thermage you might as well flush your money down the toilet and suck all the fat out of your face. I wish I knew then what I know now.

I know of a number of people who have had Thermage. Results were subtle but nice. There were varying levels of discomfort but it seems that they had an element of control to the treatment being administered. As I understand and have researched since now looking for myself, it seems treatments have changed significantly and the risks are amazingly low compared to other forms of surgery/lasers etc. It is not actually targeting fat, from what I understand it is actually regenerating collagen. I know I will be looking to have it done very soon.

Thermage and the different Lasers produces heat. It seems that both procedures can cause fat loss and other adverse effects. Heat causes a denaturation of the protein. We (both were damaged by a Thermage treatment in our faces) think that the question is WHEN patients will see this side effect. This can last a few years. I think heat is to risky and the bill is sobering up. We cannot recommend to use heat.
