Sunscreen is your best bet at avoiding wrinkles when your young. If you already have wrinkles the best thing to use is Retin-A or Renova in the PM and a good antioxidant in the AM along with sunscreen.

See your dermatologist for a prescription for the Retin-A or Renova or get the products without a script from one the foriegn pharmaies many of us go to online. Just be careful, start slow and pay attention to your skin. Also do alot of reading on Retin-A/Renova to see which product would be best for your skin types and how to use it, especiallky in the beginnning. It takes a few months to acclimate your skin to it and you won't see results right away either. Tretinion is one of the only products proven by science to rid skin of fine lines and to soften deeper lines by encouraging collagen growth. These products are meant to use long term and in my opionion work better than any over the counter product you can buy. There are also many synthetic forms of Tretinion like Tazorac, Differin and a few others. Your best bet is to see a dermatolofist who can give you the correct product for your skin type.

That's what I did initially. Now I buy my refills from Mexico because it's much less expensive and I don't need to go back for a prescription each time. My skin hasn't looked this good since I was in my 20's. I'm now in my mid 40's. I had alot of sun damage and damage to my skin from smoking for 30 years.

All of my fine lines are gone and my deeper expression lines have softened up considerably. My under eye area is the most improved. I use Renova because it's more emollient than Retin-A and it works great for my combination skin. You may experience some irritation, flaking and peeling the first few months. If it becomes an issue back off with your application and just be consistant. You'll reap the rewards by sticking with it. I started using .025% Renova twice a week at night. As my skin acclimated to it I moved up to every other night for a long time and then finally I was able to use it nightly. I then moved up to the next higher strength. .05%. Everyones skin is different so it's best to see a derm first to determine which formula and strength you should start out with. If you start out too strong for your skin type it may discourage you and you won't stick with the wonderfull benefits Tretinion products will give you.

Hi Julie,

my wrinkles have really gone down since I've been using the Genie RF100. A lot of people don't know there are such machines available for home use & only think in terms of creams, but I never saw any improvement with creams. Radio frequency treatment helps regenerate collagen at a deeper level. You have to maintain about once a week, but the day after I do my face, my skin looks really good & I'm very happy with the results

Janson Beckett Alpha Derma CE has been a godsend for me for removing wrinkles and tightening up my skin. I concur with another poster Retin A helps but not everybody can use it. My skin can't tolerate it - it was always red and irritated while I was on it, especially in the winter months. Plus it took many months to see some results. But I saw fantastic results with Alpha Derma CE within a few weeks, and with no irritation whatsoever.

Take 1,000mg of chondrotin sulfate daily for premature wrinkling of the skin(wrinkles that appear before 35yrs). Chondroitin stimulates the growth of skin cells and accelerates metabolic processes that help the skin retain moisture.

I was wondering if the retin A can be used with a vitamin c serum?
Also have studies been done on the home radio frequency treatments to test their efficiency on multiple people?

If one were to use retin A and vitamin C serum, it is best to apply them at different times of day. Also, since both retin A and vitamin C serum can be irritating to the skin, one needs to be extra careful regarding side effects, as they are going to be more likely.

Eat the right foods, obtain omega3 either from cold-water fish or supplements; drink enough water to stay hydrated and get enough rest. There are also a lot of natural remedies that can help combat wrinkles such as using coconut oil and using fresh orange juice.

Hi Julie,

The No. 1 cause of wrinkles is the sun, so avoid it. Studies has found sun exposure was even more important than heredity. Siblings who limited sun time had fewer wrinkles and looked younger overall than their sun-worshiping twins.

Get adequate sleep. When you don't get enough sleep, the body produces excess cortisol, a hormone that breaks down skin cells. Get enough rest and you'll produce more HGH (human growth hormone), which helps skin remain thick, more "elastic," and less likely to wrinkle.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. These compounds fight damage caused by free radicals, which in turn helps skin look younger and more radiant, and protects against some effects of photo aging.

There are several home remedies that can help you to reduce wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming such as – Aloe Vera, Ginger, Water, Bananas, Almonds, Olive oil, Carrots, Lemon Juice etc, you can try this if not works then you must visit a skin care specialist.
