This cream allegedly removes dark circles under the eyes.

Anyone tried it? Does it work? It costs $95, so I don't want to be taken as I can't afford that.

Oh thanks so much. I couldn't find ingredients anywhere, so thank you.

I looked at some other ingredients for "Bright Eyes" and they all looked like 'vegetable' and 'natural' ingredients, soybean, etc. so I guess I'm a little gun shy.

In this list, the only ingredient that seems at least theoretically helpful for under eye circles is Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, which is generaly used in venous insufficiency and seems to work by strengthening capillaries. However, whether it works topically and what concentration is required is unknown. Besides, among vein/capillaries strengthening ingredients, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone is not the only one, and possibly not the most effective.

Also, sometimes dark circles are be due to pigmentation not vascularity. You need to determine which, before deciding what's likely to work.

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to know. Have just read that thread from the other site, and it doesn't seem very effective with the folks who have
bought it. $95, I think not.

I wanted to buy Hylexin to fix my undereye dark circles but after reading all this I want to thank you for saving my $95.

I tried hyelexin for 2 weeks (got samples)...I also had tried Strivectin(wasted money on a whole tube of that!) I got zero results from each. Teamine did take the circles and puffiness away from under my eyes, but I also use Trueradiance eye cream, (which helps with crepey undereyes) so this combination worked for me. I am 45.

I've used hylexin for 3 weeks or so and i get some results, not what i expected though, i've had dark circles all my life, you see some results right after applying, but a couple of hours later the dark circles are back.

I'll finish the tube i bought but i won't buy another one, too expensive for the results you get.

I thought dark circles were caused by hard partying, working late, being tired or simple allergies. But according to most research dermatologists, serious dark circles (the kind that make you look old, tired and exhausted) are about, of all things, the oxidation of hemoglobin (blood) in the capillary matrix of the peri-orbital eye area. What a mouthful!

These capillaries actually "leak" blood that begins to oxidize (through a process called hemoglobin degradation)... creating a dark bluish-red pigmentation that looks distinctly like an ugly bruise.

Of course, most people with dark circles have a very easy fix...H20.

Most clients we see who have circle issues have a few things in common...they don't have a good basic skincare regimen, their skin is dehydrated, they wear greasy mascara and/or foundation and/or moisturizer.

These things, each by itself or taken together can produce dark circles. Before dropping a hundge on hylexin, make sure you remome your makeup every night before bed. Drink lots of water (1/2 your body weight in ounces). Don't wear greasy eyeliner or foundation - it can make your makeup slide/drip throughout the day, resulting in circles.

It you have a really serious medical condition - your dermatologist will be able to help - possibly incorporating various laser treatments.

Hylexin's main ingredient is Chrysin. (Strivectin is a joke!)

There are a few reasons for dark circles and the solution depends on the cause. If it's genetic, you are pretty much stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If it's accumulating hemoglobin, or leaking capillaries, Hylexin may help disperse, or drain it.

But, if it has anything to do with age, sleep or fatigued eyes, allergies, medication, or sun exposure it does nothing.

You have to customize your solution depending on the cause. :)

Lasers are an option... again, depending on the cause.

i have a friend who used hylexin for dark circles. she is 27, and she started noticing that she was getting fine lines under her eyes that were not there before. even i noticed it, and even if you post on skin care boards, you still do not pay that close of attention to things like that that most people only notice on their own skin. so...after seeing how her skin reacted to it, i wouldn't touch the stuff personally. i think it very mildly improved her dark circles. but give me dark circles instead of wrinkles under my eye any day! at least you can cover dark circles with makeup to a degree.

Yeah, I wanted to find out more about this and I looked everywhere, but can't find any ingredient information. Their "official" website says that it works by "Hylexin reduces the appearance of serious dark circles by helping to reduce hemoglobin degradation byproducts through optimization of enzymatic activity in the peri-orbital tissue."

Can someone tell me what the heck that means
