Do sheet masks actually do anything? Does it work?

As many of you might know by now, sheet masks have became a very popular trend in the skin care industry and many people nowadays are adding them to their skin care routine. They come in different varieties for different skin care concerns (acne, anti-aging, brightening..etc.) some are really expensive and used once or twice a week and others are affordable and used almost daily.


Now, I've been asking myself if sheet masks really work or are they just another 'trend' and beauty gimmick.
