I have searched this forum but if this question has already been answered, please let me know.
I am confused regarding red light/infrared. In one of the articles of this website it sounds like infrared is something to avoid altogether because it ages your skin: smartskincare.com/skinprotection/infrared-skin-aging.html

But in another article it looks like infrared helps aging skin to look younger again: smartskincare.com/treatments/noninvasive/low-level-laser-light-therapy.html

Can somebody please explain me what the difference is? Unfortunately it is not clear to me.
Thank you very much!!!

I found it confusing as well. It is something I am interested in but solely as a research type ordeal to stay up to date with new treatments. Maybe it can be either or depending on how your skin reacts?

LLLT is controlled small amounts of light of specific wavelengths delivered in a targeted way and total exposure is relatively small.

IR light from daily sun exposure or other heat is of different scale/duration/magnitude/etc.
