I began using Azelex about a year ago when I went to see a dermatologist about my acne and the rosacea that snuck up on me when I was in my late twenties. I had not realized just how ruddy my complexion had become until I started using this product for awhile. The results, on me, were amazing. The blotchy red patches on my face were gone within about a month and a half. My fair skin became translucent again, and my freckles were no longer obscured by santa claus rosy red cheeks. I almost never wear foundation now. I just don't need to anymore. I recently went off of birth control pills (ortho-tricyclin). I expected my acne to flare up again. It didn't. The generic of this brand is finevan, and it seems to work just as well and the brand name. I know this product is not just used for rosacea - it is used for acne, and a number of other problems. It has worked well for me. I also like the fact that I have not experienced any side effects from it.
