Skin Care Review: Differin

by kristina, burbank, CA, usa

light, easy to use

dryness, expensive without prescription

In my early thirties I developed acne and could not get rid of it. I tried almost everything from cleansing, otc products to chemical peels, etc. I had whiteheads embedded in my skin too deep to extract but clearly visible. My skin looked awful and I avoided going to places because of the embarrasment. My dermatolgist prescibed an anti-bacterial pill (doxycillin) but that didn't work...I then tried Differin. It's a gel based cream that I applied daily in the evenings before going to bed. I started to notice a difference 6 weeks later and while I still continued to get minor chemical peels (only way my facialist was able to remove the whiteheads without damaging my skin) my skin drastically improved and eventually the acne stopped.

I would recommend trying Differin
