I'm 25 years old with sensitive, combination skin prone to blackheads and mild outbreaks (a few small pimples here and there with the occasional larger one). After trying a handful of similar, well-known drug store brands, I settled on this product in my late teens. Not only was Neutrogena's version actually quite effective at clearing breakouts and preventing future ones (as effective as products with higher concentrations of benzoyl peroxide), but it did NOT dry or irritate my skin (others often did). Also, it is an invisible formula which absorbs very well into the skin, therefore not interfering with makeup application (as some formulas did, having left a thin film on the surface of my face). In the last few years I switched to other brands a few times when the On-the-Spot treatment wasn't readily available and discovered even after all these years of my skin going though changes, they didn't measure up to Neutrogena. With ongoing use, I still get a few zits, but they are greatly reduced in number and go away quickly. And of course, it does nothing for my blackheads.

Conclusions
It's simply the best over the counter acne (benzoyl peroxide) product I've encountered.
