Skin Care Review: Meridian Acne Treatment System

by Caroline Chin, New York, NY, USA

Rating
Good

Benefits
Meridian changed my skin texture and helped regulate my combination skin.

Drawbacks
Meridian is a three-step process. The results were not instant.

Details
The only treatment that has worked in the past was Accutane, but the prescription medication and side effects were always so severe that I am reluctant to go on the medication again. I have tried 3-in-1 systems like ProActive before but have not had very much luck with them either as they usually just irritate my skin.

The Meridian system is very easy to use. I follow the steps routinely at night. I like how the products are pretty much unscented except for the natural tea tree scent and the products feel very gentle on my skin. I did not experience any redness, irritation, or over dryness when using this product. With other acne topical medications or cleansers, my skin usually reacts with immediate redness and burning or over dryness and peeling.

At first I didn't notice a big difference when using Meridian routinely, but after about two to three weeks my skin texture improved noticeably. My skin felt a lot less oily throughout the day and I would have fewer active acne. I only wish Meridian helped my old acne scars. My friends even noticed the improvement in my overall complexion after about 6 weeks and asked what I was doing differently in my skin routine.

I think the $69.95 price for the 3-step Meridian acne solution is not expensive compared to other skin systems out there. The products are worth it since they worked for my skin. I only wish that the three bottles, cleanser, toner, and lotion, were equal in quantity because I ran out of the smaller bottle of toner first before the other two. And, I wish Meridian came in a zip plastic case that was easier for travel- it was not easy packing the three sizable bottles for a recent trip!

I will update this review as I continue to use the product on a regular basis if my results change.

Caroline

Conclusions
I would recommend Meridian to people with non-cystic acne.
