Skin Care Review: Proactiv

by Victoria Pond, Seattle, WA US

Adverse Effects

Harsh irritant, made my skin look burned.

Proactiv is supposed to be a great acne product. What they don't tell you is that you can have a terrible reaction to it. I do not have "sensitive skin" but I developed redness, blisters, and itching that lasted for weeks in the areas I used the Proactiv on. The reaction to the Proactive was much more disfiguring than the one or two pimples I occasionally experience. I was able to treat the worst of the dermatitis with a cortisone cream my doctor presrcibed, but my skin still appears to have been damaged by this product.
