Skin Care Review: Proactiv Solution

I had used Proactiv for over a year with only moderate results. It was better than the OTC products I had tried, but I still had breakouts.

So I got frustrated and quit using any skin care products. Then my skin brokeout, the worst it has ever been. I started surfing the internet for some solution and stumbled upon the website acne.org and got some ideas.

Now I still use Proactiv, but only the toner and repairing lotion. The cleanser is too harsh and will bleach clothing. (You can purchase a "kit" without the cleanser, just ask for 2 lotions and one toner.)

I have created my own regimin: 1. cleanse with a Purpose bar. 4-5 mornings a week I use an Avon Sugar Scrub instead. (This acts as an exfoliant) 2. Proactiv toner (only at night to help remove excess makeup) 3. Proactiv lotion 4. Moisturizer such as Suave or Avon daily moisturizer. (You can purchase a moisturizer extra from proactiv, but I don't recommend it.)

I believe that the makers of Proactiv leave out the crucial last step: moisturizing. Now that I use a mosturizer, I have much better reslults. I have been using this regimin for about 9 months and have virtually no breakouts now.
