I am 21 years old and last year I recently broke out all over my face. I had pimples on my cheeks, chin, temples, and bad sections on my forehead. I think that the break out was due to hormonal changes and/or stress. I had occasional zits before, but they would go away with minimal scarring. This series of break outs were different. They would not go away and the scars weren't fading. My skin was becoming less elastic. First, I tried over the counter products like oil-controlling face washes and toners. Yet, they failed to do anything. I tried Differin and Duac Gel but, they did not do much either. The lessed the problem (not the scars) about 20%. My doctor put me on antibiotics (Menicylcin) and those with the gels lessened the acne about 60%. Finally I started taking the pills alone for about a month. I still had acne, but not at bad at the beginning. Finally, my doctor told me to use BenzaClin. Its a combination of benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. It's similar to the Duac Gel, but seemed to work so much stronger. Now, I have been using BenzaClin for about one month with the pills. My skin has cleared up dramatically. It's smoother and calmer. The cream is a drying agent, so it has made my skin considerably drier, but it's worth it. I plan to use a non-greasy moisturizer after longer use of the BenzaClin. I put it on 2 times a day. In the morning and before I sleep. When I wake up, the acne looks dramatically better day after day. I'm having less itchy break outs, my skin is so much less oily, and it's extremely calm. I strongly recommend this product. After the first few days, my skin felt so much cleaner and it looked it.
