I agree, I think the pills do more. I'm not sure why or how. and I am glad you mentioned chewing them. It reminded me that I did read that on the package when I first bought it and forgot to do that. I just swallow them. I haven't been using them that long, but I can feel the difference on my skin. I don't have acne on my face. I have had it all my adult life on my back and shoulders. I'm 33 next month and I have had it since I was about 14 or 15. and now I recently noticed it on my 14 year old son't back. I was told it was a heriditary bacterial infection on the skin, passed on to me from my father. He has the same thing. and I have tried everything to get rid of it and nothing works except tetrocyclin and I can't of course take that for the rest of my life every day. This is the only thing that I have seen a dramatic change when using it. I hope it continues to work and I will for the first time be able to wear a tank top in public. and of course I hope to spare my son what I have gone through all these years. They are very painful. So I am starting him on them too. :) I wanted to be the guiney pig first before I gave them to him. I would definately recomend this treatment to anyone suffering from this disorder...
