Skin Care Review: Neoteric Alpha Hydrox (10%)

by Angie C., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

I'm 19 right now, but a few years ago I decided to try Alpha Hydrox by Neoteric (its the brand with 10% pure glycolic acid) because I saw adds for it on TV and I liked the thought of a chemical peel for my acne scars. I applied the product for about a few months and one day I woke up with fine lines directly under my eyes. Fine lines under the eyes would probably be normal for a woman in her 40s or 50s...but I was only 14 or 15 back then. I'm not blaming the company though because it did say on the instructions to NOT apply it near the eye region or on mucuous membranes...but I hope women realize that AHA can CAUSE rather than ELIMINATE wrinkles if not used properly.
