I am a 49 yr. old male and a true skeptic. A few months ago I completed a series of 5 IPL treatments performed every 2-3 weeks over several months. My skin was freckled and had sun damage spots. They are now barely noticeable or completely gone. By the 5th treatment I noticed that my skin especially around the cheeks and forhead looked younger and a bit firmer than it had in years. Others noticed too and I have had many comments about looking younger. Enlarged pores were reduced, skin texture has improved and none of the sun damage has returned. I just went back for an additional treatment which the doctor recommends as follow up every 6 months. The dermatologist tells me that that the collagen stimlulation should continue as long as you have the maintenance treatment 2-3 times per year. So far the results have lasted. There is some discomfort during the treatment. It feels like a rubber band is snapping against your face. It is more painful in the beard area on men. My dermatologist gave me a topical cream to put on before the treatment and it deadened the beard area during the treatment. There is also some reddening which disappears in a couple hours post treatment. This treatment does not replace a facelift, but if done properly and combined with microderm abrasion, it will take at least 5 years off your face.

Conclusions
I am pleased with the results and recommend this treatment.
