Skin Care Review: Jason Naturals Hyper-C Serum

by Pam, Watertown, CT USA

Rating
Adverse Effects

Benefits
None I could see.

Drawbacks
Has a sticky texture and film on skin. Not for undereye use.

Details
I have a rather sensitive skin that is very particular about what I use on it. I had seen this serum listed as an effective treatment for boosting collagen production, even out skin tone, soften and smooth, so I gave it a try, several times, to be sure. When I applied it, my skin reddened and had a slight stinging sensation. The serum did not absorb well, left a stickiness, and irritated and reddened my skin. Face didn't feel fresh and clean. If I used it before bedtime, when I awoke, the skin would calmed down by then, but once I was up and about, the skin would regain some of the irritation. With a sensitive skin, however, I have noticed this was the case with many products I've tried. I did notice this product brought out little "pimples" also. Face feels stingy/tingly sensation which could either mean it is working or irritating, which in my case, was irritating. Has a very strong (and rather obnoxious) smell. It has yellow and rusty colors and has to be shaken well to mix them. Oxidation? It does state on the bottle it is not for under eye use, so if you are looking for help with crow's feet, it cannot be used there. I did not find this serum to have any benefit for me. However, I would say it is not for sensitive skin. Perhaps if you have a normal skin that seems to tolerate any product (God bless you!) it may do something for you.

Conclusions
If you have sensitive skin, keep looking.
