I bought mederma because I thought that the active ingredient supposed to lessen scar matrix and mositruze the scar hopefully reducing its size and apperance. Unfortunately, I found the product to be mildly irratating an after a month or so of contunied use the product had no effect on the scar I was treating, and in fact due to skin irration made it look worse. I think if I were a person using this product for the first time I would test the product to see if your skin was sensitive to the ingreients.

Conclusions
I think I would try a product that was less irratating before trying this one.
