I am 50+ and have always used liquid foundation, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden and Prescriptives lately. I was upset about the heavy feeling and the way I looked in sunlight. I first thought about Sheercover after seeing the infomercial. I went online to get reviews about Sheercover and the negative reviews kept mentioning that Bare Escentuals was so much better, over and over. I bought the $75 medium getting started kit and tried it that afternoon. I went out in the sunlight and was amazed rather than repelled. I avoid going out in sunlight at all costs (shows up all those wrinkles, blotches and age spots, broken capillaries, heavy foundation look, which is a kind of an "embalmed look" - yuck! etc). The coverage is excellent, but as they say, LESS is MORE, especially at my age. I plan to go to the store and have the rest of my makeup done. If it is as good as the foundation, I'm sold. I do not have acne scars, moles, or large pores, but I do have blotchy, red Irish skin, especially cheeks, and broken capillaries here and there. Without makeup, I'm told I have really good skin in spite of that (surprise to me!) I'm very happy with the way Bare Escentuals foundation looks in daylight. When I first went to the store to buy the starter kit, the girl behind the counter (a beautiful 23y/o?) told me she had never used any other foundation. Her skin was flawless. Everyone working in the store and applying makeup had flawless skin. I looked at the women while their makeup was applied and except for one woman who I thought was closed to my age and had waaaaay too much foundation on (she applied it herself - she'll get better at it), all the other women had flawless skin after application. They didn't look that great when I got there. That's what sold me.

Conclusions
This foundation makeup is great for women of any age (even my 52 year old skin)
