I have combination skin with oilyness in the T-Zone. Medium complexion, large pores and old acne scars. I've been using the 10% alpha hydroxy cream since the mid 90's. I'm 48 now but I'm happy with the way my skin looks. The Alpha Hydoxy lightened the acne scars over time though I still have the pitted ones. Even they aren't as noticable. The last time I went out to purchase it, I couldn't find the 10% cream so I bought the 8% lotion. I noticed some uneven skin tone and a lot of flakiness after a while, especially around my nose and forehead. Went back to the 10% once I could find it again, and viola! A few weeks later, skin is looking smooth again. All the flaky skin is gone and the texture is soft and smooth. I do have some laugh lines around my eyes but they don't bother me since they're so small.

Conclusions
Very happy with product and the price it right.
