Problem areas I needed to address were knees, elbows that would dry out to the point of cracking and becoming painful, and the outer upper arm. That section would present problems especially after working out and requiring a second shower at the end of the day. Any soap would dry out the upper arm so that when it was time for bed, being a side sleep there was intense irritation caused simply by the bed sheets. I tried a few brand name lotions, but none was as effective over a period of time as the Vaseline Alpha Hydroxy. Instead of just masking the problem it corrected it so that even on evening that I would forget to apply the lotion I was itch free. To me, having been frustrated by other products, it was a significant find. And the price for help sleeping is almost negligible.

Conclusions
Cheap and very effective. Worth trying.
