Skin Care Review: DermaNew Skin Rejuvenation System

by Jen, Syracuse, NY US

Adverse Effects

The personal dermabrasion tool that came with the system was handy for exfoliation.

The dermabrasion cream, which claims to be for sensitive skin, is way too harsh.

This is a personal microdermabrasion system that comes with a supply of cream and an exfoliating tool that you put sponge applicators on and massage into your face. The cream, which is claimed to be for sensitive skin, seems to be well-suited to sensitive skin at first, but after just a few days of use, can cause major skin irritation. After 5 days my skin was completely broken out, with painful bumps all over my chin, and tiny bumps all over my cheeks and forehead. It literally made my skin explode. That was 4 months ago and my skin is finally started to re-heal, however, the scars that occured as a result of the reaction may never go away.

I absolutely do not recommend it.
