I am in my late 30's and recently noticed lines forming on my forehead. Aside from these adverse effects of my sun-worshipping days on my forehead, I consider myself lucky to have a clear complexion and normal skin type. I saw L'Oreal ReFinish on sale at my local supermarket and thought I would give it a try.

L'Oreal ReFinish is an at-home microdermabrasion kit. It contains two tubes: one with exfoliant scrub and the other an after treatment SPF15 moisturizer. First you wash your face, leaving it damp. Then you apply a small amount of the exfoliant to your face and massage for up to two minutes. Rinse with cool water, then apply the moisturizer. L'Oreal recommends using the product in the morning and since the whole process can be done in under three minutes even those with hectic schedules can fit it into their morning routine.

Immediate results are a very smooth and soft skin texture. The exfoliant crystals are very fine and worked much better than coarser scrubs I have used before. However, the lines I had originally purchased the product to minimize seemed unaffected. After only one use I wasn't expecting miracles, so I added this to my skin care regimen.

I have used the product twice a week (as recommended) for six weeks now. I have seen a very small reduction is the appearance of my forehead lines immediately after using ReFinish. This is probably due to the immediate brightening and toning of the skin after application. My skin feels healthy and I have had no adverse effects. I will continue to use L'Oreal ReFinish for the texture and toning benefits. Hopefully long term use will show significant improvement in the reduction of lines.

Conclusions
Effective exfoliant improves skin tone and texture. Not as effective in line reduction.
