Skin Care Review: Micro-dermabrasion

by Kathleen Forceville, Kihei, HI USA

Adverse Effects

I did not experience any benefits, only scabbing and more sensitive skin.

pink flushed skin, scabbing for days afterwards.

I have normal/Combination sun damaged skin ( due to living in Hawaii) and Microdermabrasion was recommended to me. This is after glycolic peels, and many attempts at eliminating sun spots and hyperpigmentation. I was very pink after the treatment and experienced scabbing after the treatment. I would not recommend this treatment as I feel it worsened my condition. I think that microdermabrasion is highly abrasive and should not be used lightly. I have had experience with peels, even at high concentrations I have not had this reaction.

I think that microdermabrasion is highly abrasive and should not be used lightly.

Price (paid by reviewer)
